“Terrible room smell. Dirty sheets and carpets. VERY FAR FROM CEBU. Old bathroom and furnitures. ”
Do the rooms actually get cleaned? Found a few too many stains on the sheets and pillows (though this seems to be common in Philippine hotels that is not 5 star). Carpets don't seem to be cleaned daly or at all? The room is very outdated- cracked tub, sink and counter. The tub is dirty- it also doesn't drain so be prepared to be in the puddle of dirty water ( I guess AT LEAST it's your own filth).
The location is bad. You're far away from a lot of places you probably want to go to. Even if it is close but require a taxi be prepared to shell out P150 on top of your actually fare... such a rip off. We ate here for dinner and spent so much time waiting for the waiters to notice us because they are watching tv (this is what I payed P50 service charge- not much of a service).
Do your self a favor- book somewhere else.
To the nice front desk employee who felt my wrath yet still managed to smile and be sincerely apologetic and even prepare our our Oslob and Kawasan falls - thank you!
“Good but isolated”
the place is really good and comfy. The only challenge was getting a cab. The place is quite isolated. They have to charge you additional Php100 for calling a cab and if it is raining, it is hard to call for a cab.
The Sotogrande is in a poor location miles from any restaurants or night life. The on site restaurant has an extremely limited menu offering, we found that less than half of the menu is available.
Rooms are ok. Staff are helpful. But we were glad to leave after 3 nights.
“Very horrifying experience.”
Bad location. Had a hard time going out. Bad memories and creepy experience.
